For The Love of Track & Field

A few weeks ago I flew to Manchester, ENG for the 2008 Paralympic World Cup.  It was pretty strange telling the British Customs agent that I was visiting for business and not pleasure.  Made me feel awfully grown up all of a sudden.  The travel for such a short trip (a weekend overseas) was long but smooth and easy, a lot like the Guinness I had on our last night in Manchester.  No idea why but it's so much better across the pond than it is here.  So although the travel was long and the trip quick, the experience was awesome and it was great to finally get to experience an exclusively Paralympic track & field meet.  International competition is pretty eye-opening and I won't lie and say that it didn't feel good to be there on someone else's ticket.

Thanks USOC.

That's a great photo stitch! Something I'm noticing with our kit lens is that if you're not careful, your wide angle shots won't stitch together. Check out my panorama from the 28th floor. If you follow the horizon there's a glitch and it's b/c wide angle lenses have some natural distortion when you pull way back. Yours came out really clean though, so you did it right way, nice job!
